Hey there! I’m Kaitlyn.

A native of Houston living in the greater Austin area, I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 2016 with a Bachelor of Architecture. After realizing architecture was not my true passion, I switched paths to pursue graphic design and have now been working as a senior graphic designer at the Lower Colorado River Authority for the past 8 years. I am also available and able to take on freelance clients! Many of my freelance clients are local small businesses, schools and non-profits, and I love providing people in my community with great design, even on smaller budgets. From web design, to social media plans, to full length books, I will work with you to find the best design and solution for you and your audience. My personal style is clean and accessible, but I consider your wants and needs first and foremost when designing to match the feel and look you desire. My goal is to develop your material to fit your target audience. I thrive on producing media that is excellent, and that excellence is something I strive for in every aspect of my daily life!
Through the rigorous 5-year professional architecture degree plan, I honed my time management skills and am no stranger to handling multiple projects at a time. The attention to detail I have learned necessary in architecture directly translates into graphics, whether it be designing a graphic t-shirt or a fillable form. I love expressing myself artistically and finding new ways to work inside existing parameters. Simply put, I'm a creative problem solver! These skills and more have only been developed further during my time as a graphic designer. I was honored by Graphic Design USA in their 2021 American InHouse Design Awards for my work at LCRA on our internal Together branding and our Parks Sales Kit.
In my free time, I enjoy catching up with friends over coffee or margaritas, going to trivia nights, and crossing off books on my to-read list. I love showering cuddles on my two dogs, Sam and Baker, and spending quiet evenings binging TV with my husband Gary, but I also love being outdoors and taking on a challenging hike. I look forward to getting to know you too!
